the homelab grows

the homelab grows.

two optiplex systems joined the ryzen windows box. that one's the storage server. everything's connected and i'm running around 14 services.

still feels like the beginning honestly.

just under 2 months ago i was all wifi. now there's fiber-to-the-room lan via fttr nodes, so i wired up what i could.

plex finally stopped buffering in the bedroom. all my systems got hardwired. my main mac runs 2.5g, and my 8 port switch now only has 2 ports left. 2 macs, 3 small homelab nuc boxes, and the wan port.

i want to switch from the ryzen box to another optiplex and just run truenas on it, but the switch from windows storage spaces to zfs is going to be so much pain. i need another enclosure and another spare hdd.
